about the dogs getting the day off yesterday. :-) It was so cool that around dusk I did grab both of them and we headed out for some training fun.
I'm having to get used to having two dogs at the very beginning in their training. The jump from Dickon, who was ready for his RE/RAE and getting close to ready for his CDX, and now these two wild ones who are still learning the foundations. But that's okay, this will be fun.
We didn't do much, just find heel work, sits, downs, stands, DB work. They like their DB and are coming along nicely. But they had fun and carried their training bag back to the house very proudly.
Con-Te August Charm, CGC
Charm was my foundation in collies. She produced several nice gals for not only me, but other breeders to carry on with as well. She now hangs around the house, bossing the younger ones and helping wtih their training.

Chase is in training for Rally, (AKC & UKC) Obedience, (AKC, UKC & ASCA) and Agility. (ASCA & AKC) He will also dabble in UKC and AKC conformation.

CH Con-Te Great Expectations, CD RA CGC
Dickon was my first show and performance collie, as well as my juniors dog and 4H partner. Most importantly, he was my heart and soul dog. Over the years I learned so much from him, and we were a team that some people could only dream about.
4H State BIS Tex-Sun Legacy In Gold
Ah Lacey. She was the homebred sable merle firecracker that took the ring by storm. Weekend after weekend she was picking up the points, huge specialty RWBs, mulitple BOVs and having the time of her life doing it. She was also my partner my first and only time in 4H junior showmanship, where we took 3rd in a class of 25. Lacey was the OTCH dog that didn't come to pass. She will always be missed.
